Witney Food Revolution

If you are not in an emergency situation but are finding supermarkets too expensive and want a longer-term, more sustainable solution, the place to go is Witney Food Revolution, located behind the Methodist Church on the High Street in Wesley Walk Courtyard, OX28 6HG. There are two options: Witney Community Fridge and Witney Larder:

Witney Community Fridge is all about reducing food waste: volunteers collect perfectly good food that local businesses would have thrown away, and redistribute it to the public for free. It's open to everyone living in Witney or nearby.

Opening times:
Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 12pm

The Witney Larder is a membership-only opening where food surplus from a national network is given to the public. Memberships costs just £3.50 per week for individuals or £7 per week for a household/family. An individual membership provides up to 10 items of non-perishables (pasta, tins, etc.) per week plus free fruit and vegetables. For a household, it's 20 non-perishable items.

Opening time: Wednesday 3pm-7pm
